Emotional Health & Connection Series

Program Goal:

You will learn about emotional health and develop skills to feel better and connect with others. Topics include learning the importance of accepting negative emotions, learning to change the way you think, self-acceptance, and effective communication skills.

In session 5, I take a Biblical perspective on emotional health. Session 5 can be used as a stand alone, four-part Bible Study program.

This program can be taken either as a series of sessions, or as individual sessions. Please note that this program is an introduction into these topics and does not replace therapy.

Program Description:

This program is an interactive experience with therapeutically backed concepts. The techniques and activities support learning and practical use.  In each session, I introduce a practical, therapeutic tool. Most tools are developed by Dr. David D Burns with the Feeling Good Institute. You can learn more about tools and resources at www.feelinggood.com and can be found in “The Feeling Good Handbook.”

Each session includes three elements:

  1. An Online Presentation (10 – 20 minutes long)

  2. Interactive Activities (Pause the session and practice the skills)

  3. Worksheets (Practical tools to enhance learning and use on your own)

Program Sessions:

SESSION 1: UNDERSTANDING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS & FEELINGS

SESSION 2: CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK

SESSION 3: SELF-ACCEPTANCE

SESSION 4: COMMUNICATION WITHOUT CONFLICT

SESSION 5: WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS (A Biblical Perspective)

This is a stand alone four-part Bible Study. Each of the four topics from sessions 1 – 4 is summarized and considered from a Biblical perspective. Each part includes discussion questions.

If you have issues with the content or questions about specific topics, or if you would like to schedule individual counseling, please contact Chris Guzniczak at chrisguz.counseling@gmail.com.

Please note that these sessions are designed as an introduction to mental health and do not replace therapy.
